The Project Overview

EduSphere is a next-generation interactive learning platform catering to schools and higher educational institutions. During remote lectures, students struggled to stay engaged due to passive video formats. EduSphere sought to integrate real-time AI-powered features such as transcriptions, instant Q&As, and lecture summarization directly inside live streaming classrooms without adding video delay.

Our Approach

We engineered an ultra-fast, serverless AI integration strategy:

  1. WebRTC Streaming: We implemented low-latency WebRTC streams, decreasing streaming latency from 8 seconds to under 400 milliseconds.
  2. Real-time OpenAI Integrations: We leveraged Whisper API combined with a streaming queue to process audio segments and stream accurate transcribing to students live.
  3. Interactive Components: Built a rich interactive side-panel for student feedback, automatically summarized using GPT-4 models.
